The Student Creed

The purpose of studying at Karate Arts is to build true confidence through knowledge, honesty in the heart and strength in the body.  To keep friendship with one another and build a strong and happy community.  We never fight to achieve selfish ends, but develop might for right.

 

The Karate Arts Creed

 

I will develop myself in a positive manner and avoid anything that would reduce my mental growth or my physical health

I will develop self-discipline in order to bring out the best in myself and others

I will use what I learn in class constructively and defesnsively to help myself and my fellow man and never to be abusive or offensive.

 

The Student Conduct and Discipline

Conduct

1)
Every student must set an example and accept the responsibilities that come with their rank.

2) Each student must make a sincere effort to do his or her very best at all times (at school, homework, Karate, at home, etc).

3) When on the Dojo floor, you must give 100% of your best efforts.

4) Students must offer their assistance to fellow students who could benefit from their help. ( do not go overboard, if necessary refer them to Sensei)

5) Students must be pleasant and respectful to all other students, parents and visitors who come into our school.

6) Always respect the rights of others.

7) Students must keep up on all requirements from their previous belts.

Discipline
Automatic dismissal from Karate Arts will result from the following:


1) Physical and deliberate harm to a fellow student

2) Smoking in building, drug use and foul language.

3) Showing disrespect to Instructors, fellow students and parents.

4) The misuse of Karate. Using Karate for something other than self-defense.

5) Misrepresenting the Karate Arts Ryu.

6) Habitual bad grades in school (if applicable).

7) Refusing to obey the instructions from an instructor.

8) Excessive disruption of class.

9) Picking on or gossiping about a fellow student.
